Departing your hotel at approx. 09.00hrs you will be transported directly from the Hotel to The Irish National Stud where you will visit the stud farm where Irish racehorses have been born and raised. Here you can also see Europe’s finest Japanese gardens they are very much reprsentative of Japanese gardens from the early 20th century. They are certainly a place for meditation and reflection.  Also here is St. Fiachra’s garden.  St. Fiachra is the patron saint of gardeners.  St. Fiachra’s garden is the very essence of Ireland’s nautral beauty.

From here you will continue your journey to the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny which is built on the banks of the river Nore. Kilkenny has some beautiful historic buildings such as Kilkenny Castle which is situted in the centre of the city and is open to tours (there is an admission fee).  You can also visit St.Canice Cathedral this dates back to the 13th century and is the second longest cathedral in Ireland.  Rothe House is a unique 17th century merchant’s townhouse.  It is significant because it has a wide range of original post-medieval features.  At the rear of the house there is a reconstructed 17th century garden.  Kilkenny is famous for hurling and is the most successful county in Ireland at hurling.

From Kilkenny you will be then transferred back to your hotel.
